Make a Fist, Get Blissed

A common relaxation technique involves clenching the fists for a short period of time in order to "reset the mind". Studies have shown that the simple act of making a fist can help you cope with stress or anxiety. The mind gets preoccupied with the tightening of the muscles and focus becomes minimized on the issue at hand… no pun intended.

Put on a big smile, make a fist, strap on your
Machina boxing gloves and punch a heavy bag!

Now imagine taking your clenched fist and punching a big leather bag with it. You're combining multiple techniques - making a fist, hitting an object, and breathing deeply and rhythmically - now that's real stress relief!! In fact, performing a repetitive activity when you are feeling stressed may actually teach your body intuitively how to relax the muscles.

hmmm... y'know, our friends at Dr. Sager's SkinCare tell us that the physical act of smiling is also a great way to reduce stress. So how about this: put on a big smile, make a fist, strap on your Machina boxing gloves and punch a heavy bag until you're breathing heavily! Sounds like a perfect way to find serenity!!

So if life has got you grinding your teeth, try clenching your fists instead.
